ROSA SPARKS

SOPRANO

Soprano Rosa Sparks is currently completing her Postgraduate Diploma at the RNCM, under the tutelage of Elizabeth Ritchie. During her studies, Rosa won the prestigious Frederic Cox Award for Singing and received the Dame Eva Turner Award.

Rosa’s recent operatic engagements include: Emmie (Albert Herring) with Opera North and Aloès (L'étoile) with RNCM. Selected other opera roles include: Lucilla (La Scala di Seta), Mrs Coyle (Owen Wingrave), Yum-Yum (The Mikado), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), and Belinda (Dido and Aeneas).  Working in contemporary music, Rosa has created the leading roles of ‘The Soprano’ in Interrupted  and ‘The Journalist’ in Silverwood.
